In the coming decades, the healthcare profession can tell patients, "the super doctor will see you momentarily." Technology has progressed considerably over the years, bringing a better standard of living and displacing people in various occupations. Reliability in the management and therapy of an ailment is critical in the medical field. On the other hand, healthcare professionals can only recall a specific array of medical data and view particular photos with unaided eyes. As a result, artificial intelligence researchers are working on developing intelligent microprocessors that can assist doctors in making precise and quick diagnoses and eventually replace them. Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that replicates human learning capacity, cognitive functions, understanding, and memory capacity. Despite drawbacks such as an absence of human compassion and the possibility of a system crash, quantum computers have several benefits for doctors (Secinaro et al., 2021).
According to recent studies, AI has been shown to increase the capacity to store unlimited information and increase the capacity to increase the ability to process massive data within a short period. This provides a profound solution to conquer knowledge lapses in the healthcare system and medical professional application to provide high-quality health care services within a short time. At the same time, AI delivers consistency in the care of patients with akin symptoms since it does not have any form of stress, laziness, or sickness, as evidenced by the current healthcare providers. Since it is usually programmed to provide specific tasks, it does not require several years of training to be an expert in a particular area of specialization like many healthcare providers do. Once designed, the AI system is produced quickly with a high level of precision on profession, thus providing opportunity cost for the organization being implemented. Also, the availability of AI in healthcare systems increases affinity and ease in diagnosis with high precision. This factor has been shown to decrease the rate of inconsistency or errors (Davenport & Kalakota, 2019).
The accuracy provided by these systems has been shown by research by Chen & Decary (2019) to surpass the role of doctors in the provision of healthcare. Despite these advantages, the application of AI in healthcare has faced ethical challenges, which have hindered its actualization. One such moral challenge is job replacement which has inflicted fear on many actors and sectors in society. Due to the integration of technology in executing essential roles in the healthcare system, the demand for human resources has been declining, which has affected employment rates. Despite this, this disadvantage always comes as an advantage. It provides time for labor-intensive sectors off their roles, bonds with their families, and participates in community activities effectively without being worried about patient death. Another ethical concern that has been raised over the application of AI in healthcare is the biasness in the data algorithms depending on the system design. This renders the technology inconclusive and requires extensive research to authenticate its practical applicati
