Comprehensive Health Assessment on an Old Adult
Older adults who have attained the age of 75 years above are prone to different problems. In several occasions, the primary care for these people is usually provided by a family physician. When a potential problem such as confusion, immobility has been identified by a physician, an assessment is often initiated. Particularly in this assignment, John has the problem of walking, difficulty in swallowing, loss of appetite and weight, abdominal distention and bowel movement. A comprehensive health assessment is designed to examine cognition, mental health, physical health, and functional capacity of the older adult. The assessment is ordinarily different from a standard medical evaluation because it includes nonmedical domains. Therefore, this paper is going to conduct a comprehensive health assessment on John who has been diagnosed with stroke and is experiencing problems.
