Data Maintenance and Governance Plan Framework
Enterprise Information Management (EIM) is a collection of tools, procedures, disciplines, and activities used to control an organization's data and content as an asset. It tackles all problems that an organization faces when it comes to handling and leveraging data content. A successful organization must have an updated Enterprise Information management that incorporates proper Data Maintenance and Governance Plan. It should also entail developing and implementing strategies, regulations, and procedures aimed at maximizing the value of data properties. An efficient EIM offers a helpful semantic layer in the organization, not just for a particular application. This paper aims to critically analyze, discuss, and make a recommendation that describes and justifies a proposed data maintenance and governance plan framework in achieving the concept of Enterprise Information Management (Ahn, Kang and Lee, 2011). Data management and governance plan ensure that EIM maintains low operating costs, higher workforce productivity, supply chain reliability, customer support and loyalty, and better informational decision and connects computers and companies. Therefore, companies must consider the effects of data and information on individuals, how people do their work, how users interact with others, and how information on business and society is competitive. This study explains data governance and data management and their efficiency in a health environment
Data governance is an essential part of Data Management, which controls how data is stored in an enterprise and aims to answer a question such as whose data is it and who owns it? Who has access to that information? What are data and privacy protection mechanisms in place? And how much data complies with the new rules in the organization. Data governance establishes roles, duties, and mechanisms for ensuring data asset transparency and ownership across the organization. It's also a framework for deciding who has authority power over data assets and how they can be used within an organization. It includes the personnel, procedures, and technology needed to handle and safeguard data properties. It ensures that information is available, open, and safe. Effective Data governance leads to better analytics, which brings about better decision-making and operation support. It also aids in presenting data anomalies or mistakes, which can assist in data integrity issues, wrong decision making, and a variety of organizational issues. Data governance is also critical for regulatory enforcement, ensuring that companies meet all standards of regulatory criteria consistently, which is critical for reducing operating costs and mitigating risks; at the most basic level, Data Governance leads to better data quality, lower data storage costs, and enhancing more data access for all shareholders in an organization. As a result, better decisions are made to result in better results in the company.
Data Governance deals with the staff, processes, and technologies that a company uses to handle its data use. It necessitates the development of a data standard that is tailored to the needs and processes and a strategy for adopting, executing, and maintaining that standard. A comprehensive governance policy should include security review since security and governance are not the same things (Koltay, 2016). This type of review ensures that the appropriate people have access to the appropriate information, including regulatory enforcement and storage. It is the process of designing and implementing architectures, policies, and methods to handle an organization's entire data lifecycle. To evaluate complex, large amounts of data, policies, and procedures must in place. The concept of data management establishes all policies and procedures while Data management implements them to compile and use data for decision making (Lockamy, 2003). As a strategy, data governance helps in naming, storing, processing, and sharing data, which is an important company asset. It provides procedures on how data can be used appropriately in an organization. On the other hand, data management as a practice involves coordinating and managing data systems to meet an organization's ongoing knowledge life cycle.
Data Maintenance and Governance Plan is a framework in an organization that enables all other data management capabilities and sub- capabilities in the delivery and structuring of the organization. The various framework components include Rules which entail Policy, strategy, process, and Roles. This will help in governing and manage data from multiple sources for independent Medical centers. The concept of process in the Independence Medical Centre generally refers to a data management-related process at multiple levels of analysis. It entails various significant high levels that must be created and implemented, aiming to get the data management system up and running. For effectiveness, the data management process should be prepared ahead of time and progress tracked. It will be developed following the organization's project management approach. The speciali
