Overview
Plastic surgery is the correction of functional or physical deformities by a plastic surgeon. Plastic surgery can be cosmetic and reconstructive, the former of which involves changing body appearance and the latter involves the treatment of aesthetic or functional deformities (Neligan, 2018). The first assignment was an analysis of the plastic surgery job. The analysis covered the description of the job, including the cosmetic and reconstructive types of plastic surgery. It also discussed the environments where plastic surgery is performed, which included academic, community, and private hospitals. The analysis, also, provided the tools and techniques used during plastic surgery, including rhinoplasty knives, chisels saline implants, facelift scissors, and silicone sheets (Farhadieh, 2015) as well as computer-based surgical techniques. The analysis also indicated the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualities of a plastic surgeon. Finally, the analysis explained the measure of job performance, especially patient satisfaction.
