Ethics in Healthcare Administration
The growth in the number of healthcare providers in the recent years, rapid advances in medical technology, financial and other resource constraints, a changing legal landscape, and issues of access and affordability, patient safety, and value-based care creates an environment with expanded grey areas between right and wrong for healthcare administrators. Ethical dilemmas that students in healthcare administration are likely to face in their future practice include ethics of privacy, mitigating legal risks ethically, ethics of managing influential relationships, and balancing fiscal responsibility and ethics.
