In healthcare, numerous programs are being developed to improve the conditions of patients. But how does one know whether or not the programs that have been designed are effective? Assuming they are effective or ineffective, how can they be improved so that they can produce better results in the future? This is where the process of program evaluation comes into play. Program evaluation is a structured procedure for enhancing and accounting for public health interventions using practical, feasible, ethical, and accurate procedures (CDC 1, 2021). A program evaluation aims to determine the effectiveness of a given intervention to understand better why the program may or may not be effective in the long run. When evaluating a program, the evaluator must rely on data because it is impossible to determine whether or not a program is working without data. So that the program can continue to be improved, evaluating it can help increase the use of assessing data in the program's evaluation. The information gathered is used to make decisions and describe what has been accomplished so far (CDC 1, 2021). This paper aims to evaluate a fall prevention program in the geriatric population.
