Introduction
Hand hygiene is critical in preventing hospital-acquired infection (HAI). Research establishes that an average of 25% of HAI infections of hospitalized patients worldwide are associated with Hand hygiene. Hand hygiene compliance rates in most countries rarely go beyond 50%. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the essence of Hand hygiene during healthcare delivery since it is crucial for holistic care. This paper analyzes the studies on hand hygiene, including their research methodologies. The first take of literature to meet all the criteria using PICOT questions has been elaborated by Melnyk and Fine-Overhold (2018). The systems focus on the Population, intervention, compassion, outcome, and time of the healthcare issue. With several articles located with different search, it is essential to apply the method so that we can narrow down the studies to fit the components effectively.
