Overall introduction
A personal heath assessment plays an important role in enabling an individual to know about their health and put in place measures to ensure that it is improved. This is considering that everyone is bound to face some challenges when it comes to health issues. Some of the factors that impact negatively on the health of individuals can be avoided while some cannot be avoided. It is also important to note that the knowledge of personal health is important in terms of ensuring that the individuals are able to make informed decision with regards to their health (Pulia, 2012). Several models have been developed for the purposes of enabling the individuals to carry out their own personal health assessment. The quality of life can be improved through the availability of information with regards to health issues. The paper thus discusses the health assessment and promotion with regards to personal health.
Discussion
The personal self-health assessment model will be carried out through the use of wellness model framework. The wellness model has six main important dimensions that are useful in measuring the growth of an individual and how well the lifestyle of the individual is at any given time (Smith, 2012). The table below is a self-health assessment table for my own personal health.
