Healthcare as A Current Issue in Politics
Healthcare has always been an aspect of the dire discussion on diverse platforms and political fronts. The spread of healthcare discussions can also be seen on many platforms such as news sites as articles. Further, in the united states, healthcare has always been a major aspect of debate on the political discussion regarding the American people's health and wellbeing. People worry about the opportunity to get equal and quality healthcare services every day in the united states. The two articles “What Is Wrong with The American Health” by Kevin Williamson and “That Hell That Was Healthcare Reform” by Libby Watson touch conclusively on healthcare as an aspect in politics. However, the two articles seem to have different healthcare viewpoints but touch on almost the same topics.
The first article, “What Is Wrong with The American Health," by Kevin Williamson, talks about medical bills and medical insurances made a challenge by the country's capitalist. For instance, the article highlights that many hospitals would accept treating an individual with insurance. However, the patient will be treated by a physician who does not recognize the insurance and still charges the patient for the treatment (Williamson, 2020). Therefore, the patient often ends up paying more than what their insurance can cover. Nonetheless, even with the impending challenge, political leaders still do not work towards finding amicable solutions. Conversely, the second article talks about the Obama regime's healthcare policy that brought great hope to the people. Nonetheless, this article focuses more on the concept of health reforms (Watson, 2019).
