Without a doubt, healthcare professionals, such as nurses in the modern-day healthcare environment, interact with various Human-Technology Interface (HTI). As a nurse, I interact with several examples of Human-Technology interfaces that have significant advantages to daily patient care outcomes. Regardless, some of these need a considerable amount of improvement to function optimally and contribute to the betterment of quality patient care outcomes. One such example of human-technology interfaces is the Workstations on Wheels in hospitals. Computer workstations on wheels give nurses the advantage of accessing different patient records by using devices such as barcode scanners attached to the workstations (Berner, 2020). Even though workstations on wheels (WoW) have had many advantages in their use, they require significant amounts of improvements to make them perform optimally and efficiently.
