History of SARS-CoV-2
The World Health Organization formally became aware of the cases of pneumonia in Wuhan City on December 31, 2019. According to Lobanova (2022), the city has a population of approximately 11 million individuals and is central China’s traditional and financial hub. The severe acute respiratory syndrome is currently referred to as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-2019), whose main causes include a new coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (Lobanova, 2022). SARS-CoV-2 instigated in animals and was spread between animals before being transmitted to people at the Huanan wet market in Wuhan City.
According to Holmes et al. (2021), coronavirus has been identified to present high pandemic risks for many years. SARS-CoV-2 is the 9th acknowledged coronavirus that communicate a disease to humans and the 7th recognized in the last 20 years. All past human coronaviruses share a common zoonotic origin with most human diseases. SARS-CoV-2 emergence embraces multiple signs of these past zoonotic measures. It exhibits explicit resemblances to SARS-CoV that spread in Foshan, Guangdong province, China, in November 2002.
