The Pros and Cons of Human Cloning
Human cloning refers to the production of a genetically identical being to one that already exists. It involves the multiplication of cells and tissues (as seen during natural cell division to give identical twins) so as to obtain a genetic replica of the original being. Scientists are yet to develop a full human clone (Lew, 2018, p. 2). This may be attributed to the differences in religious belief, personalized therapies acceptable by the society as well as government regulations. Proponents and opponents of this technique have for a long time deferred based on their understanding and social beliefs. Essentially, there are several merits and demerits of human cloning in scientific research and treatment of given illnesses.
