The nerve system and the brain go through normal changes as we become older. The cells in the brain and the spinal cord lose weight, causing the cells to relay messages more slowly than normal. The breakdown of nerve cells can also lead to a buildup of waste material in the tissue. This can cause abnormal brain changes known as plaques to develop. The breakdown of nerves can also damage your perceptions, resulting in lost or diminished feeling or reflexes, making it harder to adjust your protective band. The typical element of aging is the slowing of concentration and memory. The alterations are unique to each individual. Some people may only have a few abnormalities, while others may have several abnormalities in their nervous system tissue. Altered brain function occurs when a person grows from childhood to maturity. There is a greater incapacity to reason and think clearly, allowing youngsters to master complicated abilities. The brain's ability to function is steady during adulthood, but after a certain age, which varies from person to person, there is a decrease in cognitive function. Because cognitive abilities are slow, work performance and response time become slower. The discs in between the spine become fragile and rigid as people age.
