Medicare Clinic will be located in Detroit, the USA to with the objective of improving healthcare in the rural areas. The primary objective is to ensure the health of the patients while creating a profitable business medical practice. The practice will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions for patients of all ages. Optimal care will be provided for all patients.
Medicare is a profit organization and partnership between three doctors. The medical facilities mission is to provide medical care for patients in the rural areas of Detroit. The core values of Medicare are accessibility, efficiency, and quality patient care. The main stakeholders of Medicare include doctors and the patients.
The emerging trends that are likely to affect the operation of Medicare include the transformation of the patient’s physical environment. Many renovations are carried out in hospitals to accommodate single upcoming trend that is affecting the operation of several hospitals. Thirdly is the ever growing cost of medicine that has led to the patient’s desire for cheaper medicine that may not be effective. The control, governance and functioning of the hospital is divided into three basic units called the board of directors, the medical staff, and the administration. The main operating divisions of the hospital include the Medical division. The medical division is headed by the chief of staff who liaises with the administration and link between the administration and the medical staff. The medical staff members include the dentists, psychologists, physicians, nurses, and supporting personnel. The roles of the medical staff include recommending the physicians to the board of directors. Accordingly the board of directors is tasked with the responsibility of approving and granting different levels of hospital privileges to the doctors. The attending physicians shall handle patients and also training other physicians (Aiken, Sean, & Douglas, 2002).
The hospital departments include the gynecology and obstetrics, medicine department, pediatrics department, and the surgery departments. In the surgical departments, there are subdivisions that include plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery and the thoracic surgery. A doctor will be heading the medical department. The physician shall oversee the quality and practice of medical services that are delivered in the particular division.
The nursing division shall be resolving difficulties on the ground. The unit is subdivided by the patient care delivered in the different medical specialties. The nursing units shall be made up of the beds for patients. It allows the centralization of supplies, equipment, special facilities as well as personnel, which is pertinent to the needs of various patients. Different nurses will be assigned to the orthopedic unit and the wards because their level of care differs. The nursing department shall be headed by the head nurse who shall handle all nursing care in the department.
Another important aspect of the human resources of the hospital is the subordinate staff. The subordinate staff shall be responsible for cleaning up the hospital. The head janitor will be accountable for ensuring that the hospital is sparkling. The head janitor will be coordinating the rest of the cleaners and ensure that they each complete their duties as by the duty roster.
Finance
The projected start-up expenditure is set at $20,000. The money will be used in purchasing office furniture, office equipment, medical supplies, and stationery as well. $10,000 will be financed from General Medical Center. Additionally a building that costs $220,000 will be acquired by the hospital with a 10-year mortgage plan. As a sole business, the mortgage will be guaranteed by Dr. Williams, personal assets as well as the General Medical care center.
The salary for the physicians will be paid by the General Medical in their first year of service. They will also give the hospital $20,000 a month for business expenditure for the next 12 months. After the first year of service Medicare will seize to receive subsidies and financial support from General care Medical. In the second and third years, the hospital will incur to cover for the loans given during the first year of service. In the first year, the company’s I expected to rise $11,000 in a month. Every staff member shall be informed of their leaders and what shall be expected from them.
The section heads will set timelines and departmental key performance indicators. The timelines will be set per the expected outcomes and can be on an hourly, daily and weekly basis. The timelines are designed to create order in the various hospital activities and guarantee a significant level of operational coherence. Key Performance Indicators will be set on the basis of line operational processes.
The Hospital will strive to comply with all the statutory regulations by ensuring that all staff members have been certified by the relevant authorities. The hospital will also ensure continued medical education for the practitioners to achieve quality service delivery to the patients.
Marketing
Marketing the services of the Medical clinic shall be essential in achieving the objectives of the organization. One of the marketing strategies is by carrying out a massive public education on the importance of maintaining their health. In this strategy, the hospital shall over free training in schools and other public places on the needs for health eating. Those who needs medical attention will be recommended to our hospital. The second strategy is by carrying massive advertisement in the media houses. The radio, television, and the newspapers are the main media channels that can be used. Adverts shall be run on national television about our services and the quality of acre that we offer. In the adverts patients, service reviews will be incorporated.
