Conflict is a protracted disagreement or a clash of interests between two or more individuals. Dysfunctional conflicts are of various types, and one of them is a conflict with a patient or the family members of a patient (Heinen et al.,2019). A typical example of this type of conflict is a scenario involving controversy on whether to hospitalize a patient in a nursing home or not. As seen in the article provided, it is expected that the patient's family members will be hesitant to take their beloved one for hospice care.
