Transtheoretical Model to Health Challenges
The Transtheoretical Model (TTM) is a model that explains an individual’s readiness for behavioral change. The model describes how a person would integrate new behaviors and goals at different levels. One way of preventing chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes is by eating a healthy diet consisting of vegetables and fruits. The levels of the TTM model include pre-contemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance (Tseng et al., 2017). The TTM model can be used to evaluate inner-city families’ access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
