The Great War started in August 1914, and during the initial three years, it was termed as a European War (Samantha, 2009). The US ventured into the Great War in April 1917, turning it into a World War. The United States ventured into this World War in reaction to German activities, which led to the demise of Americans apart from disrespecting impartial rights. The pledge that the Great War would bring an end to all battles was violated with Adolf Hitler's defeats in Europe and Japan’s raid of Asia, which prompted World War II. The US would be dragged into this battle as well, but unlike WWI it would not be German activities but rather a Japanese attack on America Naval Forces in December 1941.
America ventured into both World Wars because of the hostile undertakings of Germany and Japan (Samantha, 2009). The US involvement has been criticized so much in both combats. The US intrusion of WWI has been criticized due to America’s financial bonds with the Great Britain, this was eventually utilized to keep America secluded before WWII. America’s intrusion into the WWII has been criticized due to the close tie between President Franklin Roosevelt and the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Majority of the resources utilized for WWI engrossed on the economic relationships between America and the Entente during WWI as a basic reason America ventured into the fight (Samantha, 2009). These sources strongly claim that by permitting the Entente to have unrestricted entrée into the American trade during the first War and later acquire loans to recompense for these acquisitions forced America to get involved in the war to safeguard that the Entente would refund their loans. From this moment to April 1917, Woodrow emerged as an impartial negotiator to the Central Powers: Germany & Austria-Hungary, and the Entente powers: Britain, France, and Russia. At the start of the Great War, Woodrow embarked on maintaining stringent impartiality in the US. He also attempted to guard America neutral privileges in business and entrée to the seas.
