Case Conceptualization
Introduction
The psychodynamic approach to case conceptualization involves the analysis of the psychological forces that underlie human behavior, emotions, and feelings and their relationship to early experiences. It relates to the dynamics of conscious and unconscious motivation (Gabbard, 2014). Based on the work of Sigmund Freud, this mode of psychoanalysis was inspired by the theory of thermodynamics. According to the Freud, the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind can conflict each other creating repression (Colarusso & Nemiroff, 2013). This analysis can be used to understand the character ‘Bruce Wayne’ as displayed in the movie, ‘Justice League.’
