Global warming is the extreme increase in temperature on the earth’s atmosphere caused by the greenhouse heat effect i.e. increase in presence of carbon dioxide and other common pollutants in air forming a cloud in the higher atmosphere preventing sun rays to penetrate to the surface of the earth (ozone layer depletion). In the modern world, global warming is a subject of concern since there is tremendous variance in temperatures in the sea, ocean, and on the earth on the day by day bases. These high temperatures have a significant effect on both human beings and other living organisms. If care or control is not taken in advance the effects will ruin the entire world. What are the causes, effects, and solutions for global warming?
First, the major cause of global warming is deforestation which means cutting down trees without replacing them. Trees act as lungs for living organisms on earth they take in carbon dioxide during photosynthesis and release useful oxygen for human breathing. Cutting down trees, increases the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere leading to global warming. Secondly, the emission of gases from human activities like fossil fuels burning and emissions from hooting cars causes global warming by increasing the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere i.e. the greenhouse effect (Nelson & Gerald, 2009).
