An Overview of the History of the Bloods, Crips and Black Gangster Disciples
Street gangs are described as social groups whose individuals are unified by their affiliation to a particular gang which then becomes their shared identity (Fleisher, 2005). Being affiliated with a particular gang probably increases the risk of inter gang violence which strengthens group solidarity. Gang violence is a severe threat to the security and safety of the modern 21st century society. It is indeed a menace that endangers the progressiveness, stability and a positive future.
