The Life of the Buddha
There are four events that changed the life of the Buddha: The first sermon, Renunciation, 4 sights, and enlightenment. During the first sermon, Buddha finds his former disciples at Benares where he teaches them what is popularly known as the gist of Buddhism. The event marked the start of Buddhist teachings on suffering which is the primary objective of Buddhism. The event also taught Four Noble truths that address the existence, causes, and the end of suffering. The four sights also helped Buddha to change his life. The four sights include diseases, old age, ascetic, and death.
