The People’s Republic of China isn’t a huge respecter of the philosophies and ethos of governance, especially the modern governance as we know it. As a matter of fact, the rule of the jungle thrives far more than the rule of law. And the recently passed law purposed to bring to an end the term limits for the nation’s current head of state doesn’t quite help the situation either. Interestingly, with the world’s largest population, the country seems to be walking a tight rope, as far as matters governance are concerned. In order to clearly understand this, a prudent and definitive explanation into what entails governance as well as state capacity will suffice.
