How Is Government Necessary to Defend One’s Rights and Liberties?
There are different principles that can be used to explain the government’s role in defending the civil liberties and rights of its citizens. When these principles are correct, they used by the government by the government with huge confidence. Basically, any loyal citizen sees value in all those principles above popularity, and others that work with the main focus of building popularity for the political parties. According to the proper roles of the government in defending the liberties and rights of its citizens, it must put into use some sound principles. The fortification of civil liberties and civil rights build one of the most important political value in the American society. Unfortunately, the people with the task of testing these liberties and rights in courts do not exemplify the ideal citizens. This paper will explore on the government’s necessary role in defending the liberties and rights of its citizens.
Government’s Proper Role
Most people find it challenging to understand the government’s basic role in defending the civil liberties and rights of its citizens. Public liberties are the defenses against government exercises where the people are for instance assured of the rights to the religion of their choice according to the first amendment. Additionally, the civil rights are the positive practices of the government with the purpose of building conditions of equality for its citizens (Einhorn, 2019). The government has often been associated with the task of protecting minority groups like African Americans, Hispanics, and women.
It is important to keep in mind that when there is no government and no rules, a large number of people will do whatever they want, which means that some of them will even steal property and kill other people without fear of being punished for their actions.
