The world has created various, philosophers, heroes, legends, great leaders and also pronounced scientists who left a mark. Amongst these great people, Malcolm X also proved to be one of those who left a mark in the world. Malcolm X was a black civil rights leader in the United States during the 1960s. Blacks at that time in the United States were segregated by the Jim Crow laws and were not given the same rights as the whites. However, Malcolm X who was born 19th of May 1925 gave the blacks hope by fighting for their rights. He is believed to have been a violent black activist alongside his idea that racial separation was the only means to achieve equality. Thus he influenced several black people to support him in his idea that blacks need to have their own society, community, and economy. In his teachings, he supported the concept that white people were brainwashing African-Americans. His ideas of achieving equality, however, did not prove to create or support harmony since he believed that both the blacks and the white people could not live in the same community. The blacks were having a hard time struggling to fit in the US system of government. Violence is not the only solution to certain problems, the facts are that violence leads to bloodshed, chaos, and more so war. However, Malcolm X believed that violence was the solution to achieve peace. His idea was triggered by his historical background, experience, and the Islamic nation who gave a hand to help him fight for black’s rights. However, later he realized that it is only Allah that helps in uniting people. In this essay historical background, life in prison, childhood, and visit to Mecca is to be discussed as part of Malcolm life.
