Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King, an American Baptist minister, was an activist who lost his life trying to better the lives of African-American people. Martin grew to prominence in 1955 when he was declared a great black leader. He was characterized by being an excellent speaker and incredibly skilled motivator; he articulated all frustrations of the black community as well as highlighting the plague of black people in America. Martin Luther King advocated for nonviolent and direct action as a method of social reform (King and Clayborne 45).
John F Kennedy
John F Kennedy served as 35th president of United States. He served from 1961 until his assassination. Kennedy was the youngest and the first Roman Catholic to hold that position. While, in office, Kennedy faced foreign policy challenge, in an attempt to overthrow communist leader Fidel Castrol, however, this mission of overthrowing this dictator failed (Schlesinger 55). On June 1963, Kennedy delivered one of his famous speeches in West Berlin to assure them of U.S. support to against the East German, who were building a wall to divide the city of Berlin. Kennedy was assassinated on 22nd November 1963.
Richard Nixon
Richard served as 37th U.S president. He served from 1913 until he stepped down in 1974. Richard is the first U.S president ever to resign from the office (Dunn, Joeming and Ben 67). Richard launched his political career in 1946; He has previously served as Republican congressional and U.S senator from California. Nixon’s attack on alleged communists and political opponents increased his popularity. Nixon took his presidential seat at the time of upheaval.
