Congress can be described as a formal kind of gathering, where particular individuals discuss critical issues that affect the larger society. From a government perspective, Congress is a federal government legislative body that works closely with executive and judicial branches. The United States Congress has functions of making laws that govern the lives of Americans, oversees the functioning of the executive branch, serves as Americans’ voice, and conduct hearing to guide on the progress of legislative (Johnson, 2016). My research topic is ‘National Committee for Effective Congress provides wide information on international and national politics.’ I have chosen this topic because the National Committee for Effective Congress plays a significant role in determining a group of individuals to Congress, thus for the efficient functioning of the United States Congress. Therefore, this research topic will help us clearly understand the impact of NCEC on United States politics and also in getting information about national and international politics.
The relationship of the chapters in this module with the topic ‘National Committee for Effective Congress provides wide information on international and national politics’ is on the matters of the election of congressional Democrats. In other words, the National Committee for Effective Congress has a significant contribution to the functioning of a particular federal government because of its influence in the determination of the election of House of Representatives to Congress. To be more specific, NCEC fund the campaigning people who want to be elected to the United States Congress. However, these individuals must be advocating their beliefs, which include equal rights for every person, protection of the environment, control of guns, independence of church and state, among others (Carson & Jacobson, 2019). Besides, the National Committee for Effective Congress supports liberal Congress individuals and not conservatives or someone with different beliefs from theirs.
