The American war also known as the Revolutionary war was the insurrection by American patriots to British rule to gain American Independence. There was assistance from France side when it entered the Revolution which turned the war into an international conflict. This outbreak of the American revolution in 1775 was due to the conflict between the British authorities and the Colonists. This was done by the British to raise revenue by taxing the colonies which lead to the outburst among many colonists who demanded the same rights as the British people.
There were many reasons behind Americans victory in the Revolutionary War and among them were some tactics and different alliances used by them. The American's strong leader George Washington was the huge factor in American's victory. So, there were many political, diplomatic and military reasons behind its victory in the War.
It also succeeded due to aid from France after winning its trust. This was due to American victory in the Battle of Saratoga. This victory was also due to the desire by the Americans to oust the bonds of the British monarchy and get independence.
Political reasons
The enlightenment was the one main reason for the American's victory in the Revolutionary War. Its ideas were the main cause because its teachings inspired the freedom fighters a lot.
