In the midst of the worst of the Great Depression, James was born in 1922. His parents eventually split up as a result of the financial difficulties the family faced. James stayed with his mother, and the two had to change places often while actively looking for jobs to support themselves. James was an adventurous and curious child despite the difficulties. He spent much time reading books about distant nations and strange cultures and exploring the woods and streams near his house. He always dreamed that he was meant to have more, see more, and acquire more in life.
When World War II started, James was resolved to fight. At the youthful age of 18, he volunteered in the military and was sent to Europe to battle the Germans. During the awful and brutal battle, James saw things that no one should have ever had to. However, he learned to speak various languages, which James later realized to be a secret skill, that would
