Why ISS is a Good Use of Public Money
The NASA budget for Donald Trump's fiscal year 2021 is worthy of the human space exploration program. The budget invests more than 25 billion to reinforce the program. In addition, it maintains support for NASA's suitedness of their work and level of technology. Consequently, the 2021 budget is 12 percent more than the previous fiscal year. This budget comes during constrained resources for the Federal Government, which shows the commitment of the Nation to support NASA. Previous investments have helped improve Americans' lives; therefore, they are confident in this year's budget to continue empowering the ability of their agency to uplift human conditions. The resources provided in the 2021 budget will help NASA collaborate with Commercial Industry to build a Human Landing System(HLS), embark on a mission leading to great scientific discoveries. In addition, the NASA budget has created a lot of job opportunities for Americans.
One of the investments of NASA is a collaboration with the commercial industry to build the HLS. It has selected three companies to design and develop the HLS, including Blue Origin of Kent, Washington, Dynetics of Huntsville, and SpaceX of Hawthorne. The Blue Origin of Kent is developing an Integrated Lander Vehicle, launched on its own New Glenn Rocket System and ULA Vulcan lunch system. Dynetics of Huntsville is working to develop structure rise and fall abilities to be launched on the ULA. SpaceX is developing a fully integrated lander that will use the SpaceX Super Heavy rocket. The three companies are working towards the final steps required to land astronauts on the moon by 2024. In addition, it includes when they will see the first woman and the second man to land on the moon by 2024. The space program will benefit not only the astronauts but everyone, through inventions made will benefit everyone. These are great investments that call for the American government to continue supporting the NASA budget.
The NASA program has also embarked on a mission leading to great scientific discoveries. Such discoveries include shoe soles, scratch-resistant glasses, smartphone cameras, water infiltration and computer mouse. These technologies have been developed by the program and licensed out for commercial purposes. Solar workers have surpassed not only coal workers in the U.S but also in the process of outnumbering the oil and gas industry.
