The first goal
The nurses can ensure that medication and treatment are administered correctly by ensuring that the patients are correctly identified. The nurses can implement the identification of patients by tagging the patients by their home addresses' names, date of birth and their registered names in identification documents or passports to avoid confusion ("National Patient Safety Goals", 2019). They can attach the address of the patient's home on the medical diagnosis and examinations records to avoid confusion and allow proper administration of the medicine and treatment. This will help other nurses be able to locate the patients easily and facilitate the proper administration of medicines.
The third goal
The nurses are responsible for the administration of medicines to patients in that they give the prescription on the dosage that the patients should take at a time ("National Patient Safety Goals", 2019). The nurses can indicate the medicines they administer to their patients in the medical records in order to ease the follow up on the patients' medical history. The nurses can also attach the list of medicine administered to the patient at home in the medical records and receipts issued when the patients visit the hospital. The nurses can also ask the relatives of the patients to administer a proper and routine dosage of medicine to the patient on the prescribed time.
