Abstract
According to Hassenzahl & Tractinsky (2006), user experience (sometimes represented as UX) can be described as the result of the internal state of the user, the characteristics of the system, and the context in which the interaction occurs. In this definition of UX, it is important to consider the dedication of the user to particular products or systems concerning different contextual factors, including user characteristics, role characteristics, design features and functionality, and visual aesthetics. In the modern-day, some users still encounter unpleasant experience with modern-day software despite the elimination of delays and increased computing power. This may result in adverse side effects, which may involve intense, negative emotional states that occur during computer interaction. This will finally lead to user frustration with applications hence causing personal disappointment and loss of self-efficacy, interrupt workplaces, delay learning, and decrease engagement in local and national societies. This paper will therefore discuss and cover user frustrations in modern-day applications, reasons, and methods of reducing such frustrations.
