Iran: How Do We Move Forward? Law Essay Research Paper (Essay Sample)

Instructions:

Much debate about Iran has centered on the merits of the JCPOA and whether that agreement was going to limit Iran's ability to obtain nuclear capabilities. Now, with the US pulling out of the agreement, the debate has moved to questions about how to move forward.
In this assignment (300-400 words) you will offer your thoughts on the situation in Iran. In doing so, you may want to consider some of the following questions:
- Was pulling out of the agreement wise?
- Should the US re-engage the JCPOA?
- Is military conflict a real option in the menu of choices for preventing proliferation in Iran?
- What are the implications of Iran going nuclear?
The best essays will be structured and organized and will draw on the insights of this unit's readings and any outside sources.

Iran: How do we move forward?
The Iran nuclear agreement is a diplomatic mission by France, United Kingdom, Russia, the United States, China, and Germany to make sure that the nuclear program can only be utilized for peaceful ends. Additionally, Iran will benefit from the deferment of sanctions done by the European Union, the US, as well as the United Nations (Anggitta, 2019). Therefore, the disengagement of the US from the deal will force Iran to renegotiate its nuclear program to avoid facing sanctions. Articulately, Iran should continue complying with the agreement to minimize the escalation of regional conflicts.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has continued to survive despite the retreat of the US in 2018. The deal implements multilayered monitoring and mechanism verification to minimize cases of proliferation. Washington continues to undermine the deal through aggressive sanction enforcement (ICG, 2019). I presum that the United States should rejoin the negotiation to ensure the full enactment of the contract. Iran has continued to adhere to the regulations, although there are cases of proliferation.
