The American Public and Terrorism
Terrorism is one of the appalling vices of the 21st century. It is the systematic application of violence aimed at making people fearful and bringing particular political objectives. The vice has been practiced in history by political organizations with leftist and rightist aspirations. The most common form of terrorism in the 21st century is nationalistic religious terrorism and revolutionaries who target certain nations and their citizens. Compared to deterrence, military retaliation is more effective way of combating terrorism since it is proven by America’s invasion of Afghanistan and the killing of Bin Laden.
