Animals should to be left to survive in their natural environment without being taken to the zoos because animals born in captivity become dependent on humans and after awhile also become unable to survive in the wild by themselves. Most wild animals thrive when they live in their natural environment and any form of confinement have a direct and adverse impact on their health. There are also some animals which are not built to withstand the conditions found at normal zoos, example are hibernating animals and those that follow a specific migratory patterns. Large animals like elephants might also experience change in their behaviors because they lack adequate space to move around. When elephants are unable to achieve instinctive tasks, they have an emotional reaction similar to what humans would experience in the same situation.
Zoos can as well be focused on the profits instead of the welfare of the animal. Conservation facilities and breeding programs are a way to save endangered animal species, but they also become a marketing strategy. Customers need to come through the doors to help zoos stay afloat. Because of the ethics of animal captivity, majority of people are keeping off these facilities today tha
