Pollution harms the development of animals, either reproductively or mentally. Several studies are backing up this claim for example in the sheep, exposed to air pollutants, their organs such as the ovary, testis, hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and bone are affected, leading to changes in organ weight and gross structure, histology, and gene, and protein expression.1 Thus leading to stunted growth on the sheep.
The air pollutants, when inhaled they harm the reproductive health of man. As adversely indicated on the sperm parameters and the level of reproductive hormones among 327 men attending an infertility clinic in Łodź, Poland there was a statistically significant association between abnormalities in sperm morphology and exposure to all examined air pollutants and was negatively associated with the level of testosterone. 2 Thus impacting on the fertility of men enhance reducing their fertility rates.
