General Overview
It is important for every occupant of a building to know the general precautions necessary in preventing fire hazards. To do away with the hazards, it is important to look for potential sources of fire outbreak existing within the building. The hazards can be reduced by making sure that proper installation and maintenance is done. Also, conducting regular checks and training employees about fire production measures is equally important. Electrical circuits should never be overloaded since this can be a dangerous source of fire outbreak. Another fire safety measure in an occupied building involves ensuring that all flammable wastes are properly disposed. All waste materials should be placed in the right container. In addition, every closed building must have an exit door that is working. The exit doors should have exit signs to make the exit door visible and identifiable when there is need to immediately leave the building.
