National Rifle Association
National rifle association is an advocacy group for gun rights in America that advances rifle marksmanship and teaches firearm safety and competency to members. The association's goal is to ensure safe use of firearms by the holders, improve the marksmanship skills, and continue advancing firearm education among American citizens (Rivera, 2019). The organization sponsors marksmanship competitions and publishes several magazines to better enlighten the American public on the need to use a firearm. The national rifle association (NRA) made it possible for Americans to enter into shooting range competitions and learn effective use of firearms, safety precautions, and correct ownership protocols. The NRA marksmanship grew to national prominence and forms the basis on which the military also introduced instruction programs in their training.
