As a student, we face various struggles and challenges while attending new schools and coping up with laws and legislation set aside. There exist a lot of adjustments to make for one to settle in. In some extreme cases, a student may be reluctant to attend a new school due to difficult in relations with other student or problems with school work. There is a need to adjust to beginnings and endings of the new environment, and also the feelings these events bring to mind. The following article outlines some of the challenges and struggles I experienced.
Surprisingly, I am the first person in our family to acquire the college education. At first, I struggled with securing school fees as my family struggled financially. I had to look for a side hustle that would help me assist my parents in search of money. As a result, I started selling chocolate bars and candy to my friends in school. The sales from chocolate bars were to cater for my school expenses. I was too uncomfortable when starting the side hustle but with time I got used to it. Later, when I left the business, most of my friends kept on asking me for the candy. With time in school, I learned how to wisely budget for my finances so as to accommodate all my school expenditures.
Honestly, I had difficulties in the AP Spanish Class at the beginning of this year. I was on the verge of dropping out the class since I found it being hard. I did approach my mother and a counselor for advice on the continuation of the class. My mother and the counselor were of great help to me as they encouraged me not to leave the class. They attempted to explain the essence of being attentive in the class. I was encouraged by their piece of advice, and I struggled with the class until I passed my AP test.
In May this year, I took a SAT test. Unfortunately, I scored low marks, and I have to retake the test. I am optimistic that I will pass the retake as I have hired a personal tutor for coaching. Currently, I am taking AP Honor Spanish class, and I am finding it being hard though I haven't given up. Having being fluent in Spanish, I am still facing all these difficulties as illustrated above.
Over the years, I have not posted great results in Mathematics though I have been passing. Initially, I did not like the subject. Through the difficulties I have faced in the Mathematics class, I chose to take a tutor for the subject. Mathematics is essential in one’s life and that why I have developed a habit of enjoying and liking the subject.
