Quality management has turned into all-inescapable reasoning in management philosophy, finding its way into most sectors of the present business society. Quality management practices are a set of correlative management practices that are pillars to a business attaining customer satisfaction by meeting their quality prerequisites (Love & Li, 1998). Market leadership in the worldwide commerce arena goes to those firms that not only attain but also exceed their clients’ quality prerequisites. For quite some time now various quality management approaches have been put to use to achieve this (Love & Li, 1998). Not so long ago, novel innovative standard management practices have taken center stage predominantly as strategic approaches employed in all stages of the cycle of development in pursuit of customer satisfaction.
Attaining quality in the building and construction sector projects is vital for construction firms. To achieve this requires the vigorous implementation of core strategic approaches and techniques on quality for there to be healthy competition in the industry at all levels (Shergold & Weir, 2018). The implementation of these quality-centered strategic approaches seems to heavily borrow from the manufacturing experiences of the large conglomerates in the manufacturing sector. This is in the wake of the evolution of quality management witnessed in the manufacturing industry that recommended the exploration and implementation of some of the working methods employed therein to the construction sector (Love & Li, 1998). Almost concurrently, market leaders have tried to adapt the working manufacturing quality management concepts to the construction industry.
