Business institutions get challenges when they want to motivate their employees for more production. This problem occurs when an organization is unable to provide financial incentives to enhance its performance. Companies might reward employees either in financial or non-monetary terms. Furthermore, businesses can utilize rewards, which have both financial and non-monetary components.
Rewarding Workers Using Money
Stock options. Some firms use stock options to influence their employees to maintain high performance. This technique is appropriate when corporations perform well. When workers work harder, the firm enhances its performance. Therefore, shares of the organization go up in value. Hence, organizations assume that their workers should have a portion in the company’s equity. Sloan (2016) asserts that employees should receive stock options in addition to salaries in order to feel as part of the company. This feeling makes the workers to work harder and improve firms’ performances.
