In that case, the developed nations have to help hopeless countries in terms of international support. However, the international aid comprises of pros and cons despite being useful.
The advantages of international aid are as highlighted below. The first one is that it can relieve the suffering of the inhabitants of the nation (Streeten, 2013). Conversely, the aid can soothe the poverty and hence brings the much needed supplies like food, drugs and medical facilities to the required areas. As a result, it can break the cycle of poverty which ties their citizens within low productivity zones and hence their economy cannot be weak (Burall, Maxwell & Menocal, 2015). The disadvantage of providing international aid to poor countries is that they begin to depend on it. This can led to over dependence among the developing countries (Streeten, 2013). They can end up adopting the habit of estimating and including the international aid in their national budget so as to reduce their balance of trade deficits.
