Abstract
Pythagoras was born in Greece around 569 BC and lived from 500–475 BC. He was known as the world's first pure mathematician. Pythagoras made significant contributions to the study of geometry and is credited with the following four teachings. The theorem had been used by early civilization during the medieval time even before the Pythogras made this great deal of the theorem. Earlier in 1900 BC, ancient civilizations used the theorem in diversified fields(Gudder & Strawther, pp 551-553.). The ancient Babylonians and Egyptians would implement the math in irrigation schemes to the flood's compartment in the great river Nile during the significant Sumerian Era.
Keyword : Hypotenuse, Pythogras
1 .0 Theorem
The first is that the sum of a triangle's three angles equals two right angles, or 180 degrees. The second bears his name. It's known as the Pythagorean Theorem, and it states that the square of a right triangle's hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.
The Pythagorean Theorem states that "a" squared plus "b" squared equals "c"squared, where "a" and "b" are the legs of a right triangle and "c" is the hypotenuse. Because the triangle is a right triangle, the Pythagorean Theorem can be used to calculate the missing side's length.
The hypotenuse is the side with a length of 10 inches that is across from the right angle. The side that is 8 inches long Pythagoras proved that it would always be valid for this theorem, provided the opposite and adjacent points met at an angle equivalent to 90 degrees (Maor, 2019).
1.1 Derivation
“a” squared plus b squared equals c squared
