A Significant Relationship Between Psychology and Christianity
Psychology and Christianity are two fundamental ways in which humans perceive and interpret the world. Faith and science have different ways of viewing and interpreting the natural world. Although both disciplines have the same goal of understanding human nature, they differ in their worldviews and assumptions about the nature and constitution of human beings. Despite their common goal, psychology and Christianity have a strained relationship due to their opposing perspectives on human behavior (Jones, 2010). Because of these differences, scientists have constructed numerous models of integration between psychology and Christianity in an attempt to present a more accurate and complete picture of human behavior than each subject could provide on its own. The integrated model is one of the five theories of Christianity and psychology.
