Abstract
Academic dishonesty acts among university students is a problem to learning. The present study investigated how moral and social anxiety relates to academic dishonesty. 1621 undergraduate students enrolled at a large public university participated in the study. Antisocial behaviors and socials anxiety scores were correlated with academic dishonesty. The findings revealed a significant positive correlations between students in expedient group recalling engaging in academic dishonesty as opposed to principled group. Secondly, counts of unethical behaviors was significantly fewer in the principled students group compared to the expedient group of students and social anxiety correlated positively with academic dishonesty. The study proposes intervention methods to cub academic dishonesty and enhance positive social behaviors among students.
