The loss of someone too close can be devastating, and the pain often caused is almost ineffable. For people who are not close, they may think the loss is normal and even benign. However, many families have always found it difficult to adjust whenever one of their members dies. For children, the loss of their breadwinner can be a traumatizing affair, considering that children need to live to experience the love and care of their parents (Roberts, Thomas, & Morgan, 2016). On the other hand, it is almost a convention that parents expect children to grow and even take care of them in their old age and not die before their parents. In all cases, the bereaved could be adversely affected but families can still adjust by sharing their experiences, sticking together, and even seeking professional help.
