Introduction
Since time immemorial, the debate about nature versus nurture has overshadowed both academic and non-academic discourses. There have been a number of theories postulated by various professionals in their quest to explain the two expressions. Biologists, social, and environmental scientists have always had opposing opinions over their differences and effect on human behavior. Some argue that trying to separate nurture and nature in relation to behavior is an impossible mission that will always be unproductive. However, in the recent past, studies that explore the genetic variations and social behavior have received attention both in the mainstream media and social media platforms. This paper evaluates the relationship between nature and nurture as well as exploring their influence on child development, following the general agreement from all interested theorists that human behavior is substantially determined by both nature and nurture.
