Students in the 21st century live in a society that is interconnected, diversified, and constantly shifting. Growing economic, digital, cultural, sociological, and environmental trends are transforming the lives of young citizens in the world, intensifying their everyday intercultural interactions. According to the Week 1 Example Assignment Guide, I will emphasize and discuss the importance of global citizenship in this paper. A global citizen is conscious of and appreciates their responsibility in the world. They participate actively in their communities and collaborate to make the world a much more pleasant, sustainable, and equitable place to live (Stucke et al., 2009). As a result, global citizenship is critical since it enables young citizens to develop their awareness of global affairs.
Distinction Between “Globalism” and “Globalization”
Globalism differs from globalization in a way that it is an ideology founded on the notion that people, communication, and products need to be able to freely traverse national borders, whereas globalization is now the spread of technologies, products, communication, and employment between states (Millner, 2015). The keywords globalism and globalization appear to have similar definitions at first look; however, they are not the same thing. In other terms, globalization is the process of expanding interaction between individuals and places all over the world, whereas globalism seems to be the philosophy that drives it. At its most basic level, globalism tries to define and justify nothing but a world dominated by continental networks of interconnections. Globalization, on the other hand, corresponds to an increase or decrease in the level of globalization. It aims to identify the factors at work, and perhaps the dynamics or speed with which these changes occur.

It is my responsibility to be mindful of the personal, academic, and professional well-being of others.
