Alcoholism or rather alcohol abuse is defined as a strong dependency on alcohol. To put it differently, alcohol abuse refers to the addiction to taking alcoholic drink. Dudley (2014), argues that alcoholism results from the combination of different factors including genetic, environmental, psychological as well as social. Alcohol abuse has adverse effects on one’s heart, brain and the entire body (Bonomo, et al., 2015). For instance, taking alcohol to alter the manner in which the brain function and even how it looks. Alcoholism also gives rise to various heart problems and disorders including stroke, cardiomyopathy as well as high blood pressure.
