Everyone has lost a loved whether young or old. Therefore, mourned at one point. People have different ways of showing grief. Some chant songs of praises, others cry their hearts out, while others just sit in silence drowning in thoughts. For others, it is a time to provide a shoulder to lean on for the bereaved family. Freud understands mourning as a form of personal attachment, a process of rebuilding, a state of withdrawal, and a state of melancholia.
When people meet for the first time they are total strangers to each other. Over time they get to develop a relationship, creating a bond. They become emotionally attached to each other, "AIPC Article Library: Theories of Loss and Grief", 2010. Mourning this is a way they show their remorse, expressing loss. Seeking that which death has robbed them of, the person with whom they grew closely attached. They go down memory lane reminiscing of the good and bad times, keeping the spirit of their loved on alive.
