1 Mardi Gras

2 Ash Wednesday

This is a famous event that is celebrated by the Roman Catholics. It is majorly celebrated in all continents, races and ethnicities where people have been converted to Roman Catholics, CRS. (2019) Facts About Ash Wednesday.

Roman Catholics believe the ashes that are applied on them show their sinful nature thus their fasting during lent so as to atone.
